About the system

What can RIB Air System do?

An intelligent, software-controlled pressure optimisation system for RIB boats with PVC and Hypalon tubes. It continuously measures the pressure in the air chambers and the temperature, then automatically sets and stabilises the pressure at a predefined target value.

Changes in temperature can cause pressure fluctuations of 20–40% in the air chambers. This impairs the stability and performance of the boat, and over the long term under- or overpressure damages the tube.

It measures temperature and pressure at the same time, then compensates for the physical changes algorithmically. It also performs trend analysis and predicts sensor faults. To our knowledge no other manufacturer uses anything similar; a patent application is in progress for the system.

Primarily for lifesaving services, disaster management and the water police, but it also works well on racing boats and in leisure use. It is useful for less experienced boaters too, because it takes the burden of pressure checking off their hands.

Yes, it is developed and manufactured in Hungary. We have been developing the system for more than two years and are currently at the end of the prototype and testing phase, finalising the hardware and the software.

Yes, the prototype is being used in real conditions by several Hungarian organisations and private boat owners.

Three versions are available: Compact (portable), Professional (permanently installed) and PRO+ WiFi (remote access and data connection).

Because it maintains optimal pressure automatically, protects the boat from temperature-induced pressure fluctuations, supports winter storage, increases operational safety and can extend the service life of the boat.

Operation and capabilities

How does it work in practice?

If the tube heats up in the sun, the system automatically reduces the pressure to the set target value; when it cools down, it replaces the missing air. The intervention typically happens within a few seconds.

It alerts you in the event of pressure that is too high or too low, a slow leak, or a significant change in temperature. The notification method differs by model; the PRO+ WiFi can also be monitored remotely.

It detects and reports slow pressure loss. It cannot stop the leak, but it compensates for it by replacing the pressure; in the case of more serious damage, a repair is required.

Pressure ±0.1 PSI, temperature ±0.5 °C. The sensors are compensated, and an automatic drift correction algorithm runs if a deviation occurs.

Yes, both electronic and mechanical protection. The system manages the risk of overpressure automatically.

It depends on the design of the boat. On multi-chamber systems it manages every chamber separately and keeps the pressure equal in all of them, which is one of its main advantages.

No, the system monitors and only intervenes when necessary. In normal operation the pump can be heard briefly and with minimal noise.

Not for the basic versions: local communication works without an internet connection. The mobile app and remote access belong to the PRO+ WiFi version, which also offers a GPS function.

The status is visible on a mobile phone and on an optional onboard display; certain models come with an OLED display.

The boat keeps its existing pressure; the tube does not deflate. If the pump fails, you receive an error message, but the boat remains usable.

Not under normal circumstances: the system calibrates itself automatically and requires minimal maintenance.

Operating conditions

Where and in what conditions can it be used?

It runs on 12 V boat electronics and on shore power alike, with low consumption. It can also be powered from a battery; the running time depends on the battery capacity, and it can be used with a suitable 12 V solar system as well.

Between 0 and 60 °C. It also works in freezing conditions, but it limits pumping in the cold for safety reasons.

It is built for the marine environment: the sensors and the control unit are IP-rated and protected against splashing water. The control unit is housed in a watertight, moisture-proof industrial case.

Yes, in salt water and fresh water alike. It also protects the tube on a boat left in the harbour and in strong sunshine.

Yes, it can be used during storage as well and keeps the tube at stable pressure, which reduces material fatigue.

Yes, the control unit is mounted on rubber vibration dampers.

Depending on the model, around 1.8 kg, with dimensions of roughly 30 × 12 × 20 cm. The compact control box is installed internally and works out of sight.

Installation and compatibility

Will it fit my boat?

Yes. Retrofitting boats already in service is one of the main purposes of the system, but it can also be built into new boats, including on the manufacturer’s side.

Almost any small or medium-sized inflatable or rigid inflatable boat (RIB), regardless of brand. Suitable for both two-chamber and multi-chamber boats.

With PVC, Hypalon and Polyurea-coated tubes.

Typically 2–4 hours, depending on the type of boat.

No separate valve is needed and it fits most boats. Installing the connector block requires minimal disassembly.

We recommend professional installation and we help with it. Certain versions can also be fitted at home; an installation guide, video support and installation advice are available for this.

No, the system does not change the boat’s documentation.

No, quite the opposite: constant optimal pressure prevents damage caused by over- and underpressure and can extend the service life of the boat.

Yes. Based on the type, size and use of the boat we help you select the right version and settings; on request the system arrives pre-configured.

Ordering, payment, delivery

How to buy

By getting in touch or requesting a quote, by email or through the contact form. We finalise the order after consultation and send a confirmation together with an order reference.

Usually within 1–3 working days.

The type and size of your boat and the system version you want. We recommend the right configuration based on these.

For orders placed on this website with a Hungarian delivery address: bank transfer and secure online card payment (SimplePay). For custom manufacturing a deposit may apply. We issue a VAT invoice for every purchase and can invoice a company as well. Orders delivered abroad are placed through our Amazon storefront, where Amazon’s payment methods apply.

Manufacturing time depends on the model and the current order backlog; we process orders within a few working days. Delivery in Hungary typically takes a few working days, internationally 3–14 working days.

Not from this website. If the delivery address is in Hungary you can order here in English too; for delivery abroad, order through our Amazon storefront, where Amazon’s delivery terms, times and costs apply. For fleet orders, OEM cooperation or reseller enquiries, contact us directly and we will arrange delivery individually.

By courier, in secure, moisture-resistant packaging designed for transport. We send a dispatch notice and a tracking number where the courier provides one. Personal collection is also possible by prior arrangement, and we deliver to harbours, boatbuilding workshops and shipyards.

The unit you ordered and its documentation: electronic and printed user and installation guides. Installation materials are included depending on the package selected, and can also be ordered separately.

As long as manufacturing or dispatch has not taken place, both the order and the delivery address can be changed; cancellation depends on the state of manufacturing. A delivery address different from the billing address can also be given. Withdrawal and returns follow the applicable legislation.

Report the damage to the courier and to us immediately. In the case of an incomplete parcel, please notify us without delay as well. If a parcel is lost, we investigate the case together with the courier service.

Warranty and support

What happens after purchase?

We provide a full replacement warranty; the exact warranty terms are set out at the time of purchase. The warranty is also valid when buying from abroad. Warranty claims start by getting in touch and describing the fault.

Yes, service support operates in Hungary and we ensure the supply of spare parts in the long term. Spare parts, such as a replacement sensor or connectors, can also be ordered separately, even with the original order.

Yes: we provide online, telephone and email support in Hungarian and in several other languages. We also help with installation advice and with choosing a model.

Depending on the model, yes, and expansion components can be ordered later as well.

Yes, by prior arrangement. On request we also send a technical data sheet and references, and trying a demo system is possible by individual agreement.
